You have forgotten my Neighborhood of the city, it has quite allot of history behind it. I live in the Lakeshore Area of the city, next to Lake Merced, it is a very nice area of the city, as I said next to Lake Merced which is a great walking, biking and running area; close to the beach with it's nice paths to walk and bike, the zoo, and Sunset Blvd which runs from Lake Merced to Golden Gate Park. We also have a golf course in the area as well. Yes we are shrouded with fog more than other areas of the city but we have allot of nature and more open space, if you're in to that. It's a great area for young and older families and raising children. Just thought I'd put in a little plug for our area of the city!
#112 on the Big To Do List "Got a meatball sub with provolone at Roxie's in Portola" is actually part of the tiny Mission Terrace neighborhood near where I live. It's adjacent to the Excelsior district, but too far to be considered part of Portola. And yes, their meatball subs are TO DIE FOR! -Raymond
