One solid year down, many more to go. The Lower Haight Art Walk is celebrating its anniversary (and the Lower Haight) this Friday with its second annual neighborhood art extravaganza, featuring a spackling of things San Franciscans like: local bands, art, food carts, discounts and a scavenger hunt.
Starting at 7pm, over 20 Lower Haight vendors will open their doors to art walkers en masse. The cool kid quotient will be high - expect artistic eye candy from the brigade of local tastemakers who call the area home (Fifty24 SF, Upper Playground and Lower Haighters, we're looking at you).
And if you think you're a Lower Haight expert, you can sign up for the Scavenger Hunt to prove your cred. Details on what kind of chaos this entails are hazy, but prizes are promised to all who finish the race.
And of course, there's the food. Fuel your art-appreciating right brain with offerings from Chai Cart, Kara's Cupcakes (who we honored in our Big Sweet this year) , Mad4Madeleines, and Luscious Liquids.
