We've traded our skinny jeans for stretch pants to bring you a majorly updated Big Eat San Francisco this year: With 100 new dishes—including the soup dumplings at China Live, Nightbird's quail egg in hollandaise, Halal Guys' combo plate, Izakaya Rintaro's "odd bits" yakitori, and Tartine Manufactory's rocky road ice cream pie—you can consider the gauntlet thrown. As always, we bring you a mix of the city's newest, hottest, and most beloved restaurants, with a variety of meats, sweets, sides, and veggies at every price point, in every part of town.
