There's much to see and choose from as SF Open Studios closes its 2015 season. This weekend, the Mission, Castro, Bernal Heights, Noe Valley, Upper Market, and Glen Park all get into the act—and it’s clear that some of the very best artists have been saved for last.

Rob Sakovich, an SF artist since the mid-1980s, revisits his graffiti roots, with recycled spray paint cans repainted with SF vistas on view at 3235 Mission Street (at Valencia). Peruvian painter Talavera-Ballon shows off his brush and color skills in a series of portraits that convey the dignity and humanity of working men or women in the Mission, his home for the past three years. Talavera-Ballon’s studio is located at 3712 25th Street (at Guerrero).

We're really excited for Geri Montano, a multiracial contemporary artist whose work emphasizes her Native American and mixed European heritage, and juxtaposes high-impact aesthetics with seductive yet subversive, and often feminist, imagery. We’re particularly fond of Youth Moons Dreaming (acrylic, ink, graphite, prisma pencil, gesso on paper, 2014). Montano’s studio is located in the fabled Project Artaud (499 Alabama Street, at Mariposa).
