The ultimate piggie fest known as Cochon 555 goes down this Sunday at Greystone in St Helena. It's a challenge to five local chefs to prepare a menu based around heritage breed pigs (from nose to tail) for an audience of carnivores and local judges.
Here's what it enTAILS:
This year's competing chefs include Duskie Estes & John Stewart of Zazu, Dave Cruz of Ad Hoc, Curtis Di Fede & Tyler Rodde of Oenotri, Brandon Sharp of Solbar and Charlie Parker of Plum. All the pork will come paired with wines from five different small wineries: Pey-Marin Vineyards, Ladera Vineyards, Scholium Project, Domaine Serene and K Vintners.
Wanna go? We've got 2 tickets on our hands ($125 each) to give to the commentor who can come up with the best piggie haiku. We'll pick a winner tomorrow afternoon. Go eat some bacon and give us what you've got.
