Seghesio Family Vineyards invites guests to start planning for the 11th annual Zin & BBQ Festival taking place this July. Located in the heart of the ever charming town of Healdsburg, Seghesio Family Vineyards is the ideal location for an afternoon of finger-licking-good BBQ, warm sunshine, and (of course) Zinfandel.
From 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. on July 26, Seghesio’s “Battle of the BBQs” will pit local culinary favorites Dino Bugica of Geyserville’s Diavola Pizzeria & Salumeria and Dustin Valette of Healdsburg’s Dry Creek Kitchen, against Seghesio’s own Peter Janiak in a BBQ-themed cook-off. Moderating by noted grilling expert Ray Lampe, otherwise known as Dr. BBQ.
Each chef is tasked with creating their own rib dish and a second item to be paired with a Seghesio Zinfandel (Home Ranch, Cortina, or Old Vine). The festival crowd will have the chance to nibble and nosh on these tasty pairings and vote alongside a panel of judges including Dr. BBQ, Winemaker Ted Seghesio, and Seghesio’s Associate Winemaker Andy Robinson.
