Far away in the delta town of Antioch, there was a spooky old glass factory, abandoned on 4th Street. While the site for Anchor Glass Factory was finally demolished in 2014, for some time it was a photographer's and explorer's haven. Like most abandoned industrial sites, it almost seemed like everyone had clocked out one Friday and just never came back, leaving behind magazines, boots, and tools.
Anchor Glass was once one of the largest producers of milk bottles in the country, producing glass up until the late '90s. In the early 2000s, however, the company filed for bankruptcy and has since been absorbed by another corporate entity.
