Gump's Wedding Event Is A Don't-Miss For Future Brides & Grooms

This year, Gump’s is getting real with their wedding event. In the past, the organizers have staged the happening on Sunday mornings, making it more of a mom-and-daughter kind of thing. This year, they are having an open house on the evening of Thursday, February 10. The fact that it’s after work means you and your betrothed will likely be near the Financial District (and NFL games won’t be on), so you can easily attend as a couple.

What won’t change is the format: Soon-to-be-weds will be able to peruse Gump’s wedding registry offerings while enjoying sparkling wine and hors d’oeuvres. If you need some inspiration, there will be nine tables set by the in-house wedding pros to give you ideas. Each table will also sport an elegant wedding cakes by Beaux Gateau and Taste Catering.

The dessert table will be created by Yigit Pura, Executive Pastry Chef at San Francisco’s Taste Catering & Event Planning and winner of BRAVO’s Top Chef Just Desserts.

The hallmark of Gump’s wedding event is the small, tasteful scale and a personal touch. Their wedding registry experts will be on hand that evening to answer questions or get you going on the big list. “One of our strengths is that we do it all, from casual to formal,” says Carmen Roberson of Gump’s. “In this day and age, you need both--and our pros know how to mix and match.”

The event, called “The Gump’s Bride, Princess and the Porcelain” happens on February 10 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. RSVP to specialevents@gumps.com or call 415-984-9250.
