Most millennial women we know have a copy of Sophia Amoruso's book #GIRLBOSSon their bedside table. Part how-to guide and part memoir, it's the story of how the Nasty Gal CEO went from dumpster diver to badass leader of a $250-million-plus fashion company.
Now it seems that Netflix is trying to bring her life story to the small screen. As reported by Hoodline, the new series, titled Girlboss, will star Britt Robertson (Tomorrowland) as a character based on the young Amoruso as she starts her fledgling business by selling vintage gems on eBay. Netflix is set to film in the Haight on August 8th, 12th, and 18th. Specific locations include an apartment over the Anarchist Collective, outside Jammin' On Haight at Haight and Masonic, and at some clothing stores on the 1500 block. Keep an eye out!
