Design Details: The Ritz-Carlton's Upcoming Eatery, Parallel 37

By

Last week we wrote about the Ritz-Carlton unveiling plans for its fresh eatery Parallel 37, helmed by famed chef Ron Siegel. This week, we're bringing you the restaurant's juicy design details, honed and perfected by local design group EDG Interior Architecture + Design, that are bound to make it the Nob Hill's newest dining destination. Design-philes, listen up!

Parallel 37's updated interior will bring an urban edge to this venerable Nob Hill luxury hotel, put together with the finest hand-picked details–just like the restaurant's contemporary American cuisine. The architects have created an entirely new space for hungry (and thirsty!) patrons to relax with friends, family and even coworkers while still maintaining a bustling, lively atmosphere.

The restaurant's design brilliantly connects NorCal's lush agricultural countryside with our city's dynamic, neighborhood-to-neighborhood food scene. Look for clean architectural lines and modern, glass walls and partitions that seamlessly combine with natural materials to create a laid-back vibe of tailored sophistication. The first thing you'll notice upon entering is EDG's gorgeous juxtaposition of the hotel's neoclassical architecture with a new, dramatic glass entranceway. Parallel 37's initmate air perfectly complements the artful, simple and honest character of Chef Siegel's cuisine using details such as free-edge wood tables and plaid-embossed leather seating.
