Billed as the Airbnb of boat rentals, SF startup Boatbound is, er, making waves, with growing demand necessitating an expanding team and better workspace. Check out their nautical digs. Boatbound called upon Homepolish designer Felice Press to revamp their local HQ, and she set out to emphasize the brand’s relaxed, fun and hardworking attitude by playing off its colors, cute logo, ping-pong table, and charming nautical theme in the hangout areas without getting too cheesy. Her strategy was minimal but effective: “Basics like simple desks and chairs can really blend into the background when the focus is put on extra details. We bought some really great vintage nautical buoys that liven and brighten up the space, but were cheap and really reflect what Boatbound is.”
