The Target To-Go holiday pop-up shop in Mint Plaza is officially in full swing. The "store" opened to the public at 10 a.m. this morning and hoardes of bullseye-loving cityslickers are already pouring in. The concept, which we blogged about earlier this week on Domain, is simple—a range of products behind glass cases that brings the idea of window shopping to life. You grab a clipboard with purchase form and then check off the numbered items you would like to buy before heading to checkout.

While Target's takeover of the Metreon might not be a done deal for a while, the raucous calls of tweets appear to have been answered for now: Just in time for the holidays, the bullseye is coming to town. Yes, everyone's favorite super-chain will be setting up temporary shop in Mint Plaza for this weekend only, but don't run down with your list of necessities just yet.

Get excited.

"Let Us Break Bread Together" is a holiday choral extravaganza brought to you by Target and Michael Morgan, the music director and conductor of Oakland East Bay Symphony. It's musical mayhem done right with the East Bay Symphony, Oakland Symphony Chorus, Terrance Kelly and Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, Mt. Eden High School Concert Choir of Hayward, Latin roots band Los Cenzontles and the celebrated Bay Area klezmer band Kugelplex.
