An all-ages family event with a variety of entertainment! Hip-hop, spoken word, banjo, and Latin music/breaks including Thank You Julius, Chango and more.. an open-roda capoeira circle, a middle school 5-on-5 and a juniors (ages 15 and under) 1-on-1 breakdance battle for a prize of $100. There will be a slide show of the 2007 and 2008 caravan/hiphop exchange in Cuba.

The first: 1987 Queens, NY, where an 11-year-old Joseph—serving as understudy to Savion Glover in The Tap Dance Kid—was introduced to his first hip-hop track, Boogie Down Production’s “T’cha T’cha,” by a worldly, 13-year-old Glover.
