- Mount Tallac Summer Trail. Tallest peak surrounding Lake Tahoe. Views, views, views.
- Eagle Lake. Hike past falls and rugged granite scenery to a picturesque glacial basin lake. Good for swimming.
- Five Lakes Trail. Lake-laden trail away from crowds near Alpine Meadows Ski Resort.
- Truckee River Float. Self-guided river float between Tahoe City and Alpine Meadows. Great way to cool off.
- Secret Cove + Chimney Beach Loop. Hike-in beaches, clothing optional cove, idyllic tourquise waters.
- Stateline Fire Lookout. Short hike to one of Lake Tahoe's best Panorama's on the northshore.
- Tamarack Peak Loop. Scenic and relatively flat loop hike along the Tahoe Rim that includes a waterfall and big vistas.
