25 Fun Things: Warriors Opening Night, Oakland's Autumn Lights Festival + All the Litquake

Litquake is officially underway and this week is gonna be hella, well, lit. And since 7x7 is a longtime and proud partner of the coolest literary festival ever, we're bringing you the best of the week, with at least one wordy can't-miss event each day (including our own delicious Lit Crawl event this Saturday).

But there's more. The golden boys of the Warriors play their home opener on Tuesday, SHN is serving up Waitress, OMCA's new Eames exhibit is a can't-miss for design lovers, and the Soiled Dove is ready to get raunchy in the big top. Have a great week!


Monday, Oct. 15th

Greens Returns!

The popular vegetarian dining destination shuttered after a fire earlier this year. Now, Greens is re-opening and with an upgrade. Go get your veggie fix.


Eames in the East Bay

Calling all design buffs! It's time to head to OMCA for a special exhibit on the lives and works of the legendary husband-wife design duo Charles and Ray Eames. Andy Weir: From Silicon Valley to Mars

Why: Meet the mind behind the novel The Martian: Computer programmer turned sci-fi connoisseur Andy Weir is in the house for a discussion slash screening of the Matt Damon film. Why: It's more than just the title of Kanye West's hit song. Power is a word we hear everyday, even though we may not always understand its gravity. But our voices have never mattered more than they do today.
