Halloween technically isn't until next week, but there are some good excuses to go ahead and try on your costume: Boo! Bark, Brews + Bites returns to Jack London Square for you and your furry friends, while Cal Academy hosts SuperNatural, a Halloween-themed evening bash.

Into other sorts of scary? Head to The Glass Room pop-up to learn what your technology knows about you (hint: everything). Or, you can simply shell out the big bucks for a ticket to the Warrior's first game at Chase Center (or just cheer them on from Anchor Public Taps); down a volcano bowl at newly reopened tiki bar; munch on Midnite Bagels at Tartine; and check out gadgets and art by more than 170 makers at the East Bay Mini Maker Faire.

Reimagine End of Life Festival

Man in the Box

At the age of 73, St. Louis, Missouri-based performance artist and choreographer Tom Brady now finds himself living part-time in the Bay Area and staging what is essentially a 40-year work-in-progress performance piece at ODC Theater. Man in the Box is the evolution of Boxes, a piece that was first staged in New York City in 1979.
