Why: Inspired by the 1936 propaganda film, Reefer Madness is a new musical comedy that takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the mania catalyzed when otherwise clean-cut kids began indulging in the "green stuff." Why: After a morning hike in the Marin Headlands, and then weave through the art installations at this cultural gem during the grand opening of Headlands Center's new communal art and relaxation space, The Commons. The $1.8 million, 3,000-square-foot project has made the best possible use of an unpaved parking lot and gravel pathway, transforming it into a thoughtfully designed outdoor space for art and everyday use.
