Tuesday, September 5th: Tacos for Texas @ Wing Wings

Why: Tacos can change the world, especially for the in-need Texans left in high water this past week. On Tuesday, Wing Wings will host an all-day fundraiser for the San Antonio Food Bank. Donate by filling up on tacos prepared by folks from Señor Sisig, Richie Nakano, and Papalote, and get festive to mild-to-hot DJ beats. Clothing donations will be accepted, too. Wednesday, September 6th: Drink and Draw @ The Knockout

Why: Colored pencils and mixed drinks? Sounds like as good a time as any. Stop by The Knockout, try your hand at a theme-based drawing and then throw it into the raffle for a chance to win a prize.

Why: Because we all deserve to know where all the rum has gone. On its third anniversary, the California Rum Festival is holding a day garnished with rum tastings, mixology classes, and industry leaders waxing poetic. Tickets ($5-$30) are available online.
