Monday, July 3rd: Let there be lights @ The Conservatory of Flowers
When: Sundown till midnight
Where: 100 John F. Kennedy Drive (Golden Gate Park), conservatoryofflowers.org
Why: Get trippy with the botanically themed light show created by Obscura Digital and projected onto everyone's favorite Victorian landmark in the park. At the top of each hour (and every 30 minutes), the illuminating show takes inspiration from the rare flowers of the world and feels just right for a Summer of Love celebration.
Tuesday, July 4th: See fireworks @ Pier 45
When: 6:30-10:30pm
Where: Pier 45 (The Embarcadero), eventbrite.com
Why: Park yourself at what many consider to be the best vantage point for fireworks over the San Francisco Bay: onboard the historic World War II Liberty ship SS Jeremiah O'Brien, located in Fisherman's Wharf. Team the show with complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drinks.Tickets start at $40 a person at Eventbrite.
Wednesday, July 5th: Free Belgian waffles @ Capital One Cafe
When: 9-11am (or till they sell out)

Why: Free waffles—need we say more? Treat yourself to a morning coffee and salted caramel, bacon, or other concoctions at the Capital One Cafe, courtesy of B. Street Waffles.
Thursday, July 6th: Catch a funny dog show @ Ale Industries
When: 6-8pm
Where: 3096 E 10th St. (Oakland), aleindustries.com
Why: Kick off the almost-weekend laughing and cackling courtesy of cheeky one-liners from the Bay Area comedians judging this year's Hair of the Dog contest. Basically, it's a drag show for dogs. What could be better? Details can be found on Facebook.
Friday, July 7th: Silent disco and yoga @ Baker Beach
When: 6:15-7:30pm
Where: Location will be emailed to all who register (Presidio),eventbrite.com
Why: Join more than 100 yogis and zen out with Bay Area teacher Julie Aiello, who will be leading this groovy, musical class at sunset on the beach. Tickets ($25 to $29 per person) must be purchased in advance on Eventbrite.
Saturday, July 8th: Play Pacman Live @ Ocean Beach
When: Noon to 4pm (new game starts every 20 minutes)
Where: TBD (Ocean Beach), eventbrite.com
Why: This is not a drill. On Saturday, a large cohort of people is expected to meet at Ocean Beach for an IRL game of Pacman—fruit, ghosts, and all. (The exact location is still being ironed-out, so check the Eventbrite page for updates.) Donations to the 1Love Donation Program are encouraged.
Sunday, July 9th: Drink wine and pet a pug @ WineMakers Studio
When: 11am to 4pm
Where: 448 Clipper Cove Way (Treasure Island), facebook.com
Why: Taste varietals offered by four onsite wineries and munch on food truck fare—all while petting hella cute pugs. Tickets ($65) are all-inclusive and benefit Tiny Paws Pug Rescue;purchase at Eventbrite.com.
