Monday, August 14th: Free Eclipse Glasses @ Grand Library

Why: Staring at the eclipse without protection causes blindness—and no, that's not like what they told you in sex-ed class back home. This is for real. Practice safe solar-ing by with pair of eclipse glasses—you can snag some for free at South San Francisco's Grand Library on Monday morning. Get there early! Tuesday, August 15th: Be a Sushi Chef @ SoMa Home
When: 7-9pm
Where: *SoMa location disclosed upon reservation completion, feastly.com
Why: Take a master class on perfecting sushi rice and maki rolls with chef Trevor Molyneux (of Akiko's and Michael Mina). In the chef's own home kitchen, you and about 14 other curious foodies will learn how to cut paper-thin slices of salmon and more. Wednesday, August 16th: Take the Beer Shuttle@ Anchor Brewing Company

Why: Gather at Anchor Brewing to meet the team over tasting of limited-release brews, and then hop on the beer shuttle for an intoxicating tour of Harmonic, Magnolia, and Triple Voodoo breweries. The event itself is free, but be sure to set aside some funds for the drinks.
Thursday, August 17th: Embrace Your Body Type @ Dogpatch Dance and Yoga

Why: Slim Thick Revolutionary Yoga is a body-positive all-levels vinyasa class aimed at building strength, flexibility and, yes, self-love, taught by instructor Kafi Payne. Tickets are $15 at eventbrite.
Friday, August 18th: See Comics Judge Art @ Art Attack SF

Why: The Art Critique Comedy Show will throw hilarious critical shade at abstract works of art. Plus, free pizza and beer will take the place of wine and cheese. Arrive before 8pm to form your own opinion about the pieces on the comedic chopping block. Tickets are $10 at eventbrite.
Saturday, August 19th: Have a Pool Party @ Phoenix Hotel
