San Francisco activist, drag diva extraordinaire, and former 7x7 cover girl Juanita MORE! has teamed with students at the Academy of Art University on a collection of one-of-a-kind tote bags just in time for Pride week.
MORE!, a fabulously outspoken advocate for the LGBTQ community, is also a known hostess with the the mostess: Her annual Pride party, benefitting local LGBTQ nonprofits, is the must-stop on the Pride party circuit. This year, look for tote bags to be sold for charity, designed by talented AAU kids.
Eight students worked to create 32 different styles inspired by MORE! and her adorable bulldog, Jackson, also a social media star. MORE! selected her four favorites to be sold for $25 at local retailers including Unionmade, ATYS Contemporary Design, s16 Home, and Asterisk San Francisco. The other 28 totes can be purchased for $15 at SHOP657, the Academy of Art University's store.
All of the totes feature spunky designs and colorful prints guaranteed to add sass to a trip to Ocean Beach or Dolores Park. As a bonus, 100 percent of the proceeds go to a deserving LGBTQ organization—this year's benefactor, Y.E.S. (Youth Education Summit), is a free annual conference for LGBTQ and ally activists to seek justice for transgender and queer youth.
