Monday, November 6th: Walk Through Wonkaland @ Tcho: Choloate

Why: Celebrate the start of another week by living out the childhood fantasy of rummaging through a chocolate factory; specifically the coco-beam wonderland behind the doors of Tcho: Chocolate in Berkley. Tuesday, November 7th: Hear Readings from Fiercely Feminist Poets @ City Light Books

Why: This Tuesday evening, hear empowering readings centered around female autonomy. From Oakland-based poet Barbara Jane Reyes' Invocation to Daughters, the night will consist of prayers, psalms, and odes for Filipina girls and women trying to make sense of their own self-faced situations. Admission to the reading is free, but a purchase of Invocation to Daughters is recommended.
Wednesday, November 8th: See All The Colors of the Rainbow @ Harvey Milk Plaza

Why: Come Wednesday night, Harvey Milk Plaza will gleam for the inaugural lighting ceremony. Take in the grand lighting of Harvey's Halo, and then the unveiling of new installation, Hope Will Never Be Silent, produced by the team behind Bay Lights and the lighting of the Conservatory of Flowers for the Summer of Love. There will also be an array of speakers, performers, artists and activities. Admission into the plaza will be free for the luminous unveiling, but parking will be scarce to say the least—public transit may be your best bet.
Thursday, November 9th: Rekindle the Connection Between Mind and Body @ Cal Academy

Why: Embrace all things inner-peace at Cal Academy's NightLife, via a Thursday evening event that explores the brain and body courtesy of mind-expanding talks, cutting edge demos, and yoga sessions (including underwater) around the museum. Friday, November 10th: Walk Through a Candlelit Labyrinth @ Grace Cathedral

Why: Get lost in positive thoughts and, simultaneously, send good vibes this Friday evening at Grace Cathedral while walking through the candlelit, stained-glass glown labyrinth on center display. Centering live music will be played throughout the entire experience. Admission to the event is free, just show up with an open-heart.
Saturday, November 11th: See Rare PIctures of Julia Child @ Napa Valley Museum

Why: Stop by the Napa Valley Museum Saturday for its opening of France is a Feast: The Photographic Journey of Paul and Julia Child. Take in rarely seen black and white photographs taken by Paul Child in France between 1948 and 1954. Tickets ($7-$10) can be purchased at the museum.
Sunday, November 12th: Sip On The Best of Mexico @ Public Works

Why: Cheers to a weekend well spent at Mezcal: Mexico in a Bottle at Public Works this Sunday, and taste and sample some of the best mezcal this side of the Rio Grande. Tickets ($80) can be bought on Eventbrite and include admission into the event and the chance to sample more than 100 different iterations of mezcal; all while nibbling on a bevy of Mexican hors d'oeuvres in the company of live-music and dance breaks.
