For those of you who live by AT&T Park, like me, you'll be pleased or terrified to learn that the home of your San Francisco Giants is the second most expensive ballpark to reside by, coming right behind Boston's Fenway Park. It's surprising news, as the Mission Bay/South Beah/SoMa neighborhood turns into a drunken, bro-tastic mess after night games.
The most shocking news to stem from this obvious bit of Truila clickbait is that Dodgers Stadium came in at number three. What kind of delayed and disturbed homebuyers would want to live anywhere near the gates of Inferno? Abandon all hope ye who enter here, indeed. I shudder. (Actually, the neighborhood itself, Chavez Ravine in Solano Canyon, is pretty cool. And the stadium has a gorgeous view of downtown LA, especially come nightfall. But still!)
Anyway, AT&T Park ranks at number two, with $1,025 median price per foot. It's no wonder; the booming area, though not as aesthetically pleasing as one would have hoped, is teeming with tech-driven luxury. Saison. Access to the Embarcadero. Les Clos. Caltrain. South Park. Dogpatch. Lululemon sweats as far as the eye can see. It's a wildly hot area to set up roots, provided you can afford the insane price tag. (According to real estate site Zumper, median rent for a one-bedroom alone can run you a cool $3,750.)
