Known for its whimsical take on brunch, Straw features items such as Jenga French toast and a burger served on a doughnut. So it’s no wonder that this carnival-themed spot has an exciting take on eggs and bacon. Order the “Hanky Panky,” which includes a Belgian waffle, two fried eggs, maple-glazed bacon, and cheddar potato croquettes. No measly slices of white or wheat toast here!
This sleek, modern restaurant located in SoMa seems almost too hip for brunch. Located in a refurbished meatpacking and smokehouse facility, you may find yourself easily distracted from the menu. That is, until your “two eggs as you wish” arrive, served with mashed avocado, bacon, toasted levain, and potato rosti.
This Mission brunch hotspot has eager brunch goers waiting around the block for hours. And it’s no wonder: Mission Beach Café has some of our favorite bacon in the city. Even though they don’t have one all-inclusive menu item, choose from their sides to create a stellar bacon-and-egg combo. Grab two eggs, their caramelized pepper bacon, and brunch potatoes or a biscuit with pancetta-black pepper gravy (or honey!). Who says you can’t have your bacon and eat it too?

For an exotic interpretation of bacon and eggs, try out Olea’s Spanish-inspired menu. Their “cazuela” (a Spanish term for cooking pot) is comprised of eggs, pork, bacon, garbanzo beans, spinach, parmesan cheese, and tomatillo sauce, baked together in something like a stew. This hearty dish will warm you on those cold San Francisco mornings.
