Get out your tongs, ladies and gents—local purveyor of impeccable meats, Belcampo Meat Co., is debuting grilling camps as of today. And in rare (see what we did there?) form, they’re targeting two groups primed for some fire time—ladies and gays—for some serious glamping.
Two series debut this summer at Belcampo Farms in Shasta Valley—Women’s Meat Camp (August 6-9) and Gay Men’s Meat Camp (August 13-16). Each camp is three days during which Belcampo CEO Anya Fernaldand President of Belcampo Meat Co., Bronwen Hanna-Korpi, will teach attendees, from beginners to meat masters, the fine art of prepping and cooking meat on an open flame—think knife skills, meat cutting, breakfast sausage making, and a “Chop-stravaganza” with everything from lamb to tomahawk chops.
Now, to the glamping—accommodations are luxury tents kitted out by local outfit Shelter Co. (with private bathrooms and showers) situated along the farm’s orchard, where folks will unwind from their grill time with family style meals. Outside of wood fire cookery basics, participants can engage in daily fitness boot camps, yoga, and stretching—we imagine to keep digestion in check on what will likely be a protein-laden diet.
Pricing starts at $3750 per person for single occupancy and $2500 per person for double occupancy, which includes lodging, food, all camp courses, and any transportation used over the weekend (travel to and from the farm is not included). Should you be an incredible baller willing to spend three days near fire with your employees, The Meat Camp experience can be custom-designed for a company, which we're particularly fired up about.
