The Splash Brother has done it again! It was announced Tuesday morning that local demigod Stephen Curry was unanimously voted MVP of the NBA.
Although Curry was also named MVP last year, this year the vote was unanimously in his favor. Shaquille O'Neal and Lebron James both got close to this massive honor (in 2000 and 2013 respectively), but came up only one vote shy of the record.
In all honesty though, it comes as no surprise. In Monday night's game Curry scored 40 points against the Portland Trailblazers in Game 4 of the NBA Playoffs. All that after missing five games from multiple injuries.
As the game went into overtime, Curry scored 17 of his 40 points within a five minute time frame. He looked around the crowd and chanted "I'm here! I'm back!" as his teammates (and the whole Bay Area) cheered him on. Congrats, Steph!
