If any of you are as lazy as me on as many nights of the week as I am, then this post is for you. This post is for the weekday warriors—you know, people that work. A lot. Long hours. All. Week. Long.
The question: do any decent restaurants deliver? The answer: yes. I'm not talking Amici's pizza, either (although I say this with respect, because Amici's has gotten me through many a deadline here at HQ). Newcomers to the delivery fold include:
Mission Chinese Food (which delivers Mon.-Sat. from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 10 p.m.) and Front Porch, which will send your fried chicken by bike messenger on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. Another Monkey, the Thai spot that took over the former Conduit location (from the owners of Koh Samui and the Monkey), will also send their Chiang Mai-style pork sausage, peanut sauce seafood and curry beef directly to your door.
Just to round out my research, I took a cursory glance at Grubhub.com. Plugging in my Duboce triangle address yielded 157 results, most of which I have no interest in trying, either on a dine-in or dine-out basis. There were, however, some great surprises, including Rosamunde (both locations, free!), modern Indian Kasa (both locations, beginning at 6 p.m.) and South Indian favorite Udupi Palace (though I do wonder how they would manage to get their giant, delicious dosas to me in good condition. Perhaps best to go with the curry?).
