The Stirring Hour at 1760

For serious drinkers who scoff at lightweight happy hours, 1760 offers "The Stirring Hour," a one-hour, once-a-day opportunity to drink liquor mixed with more liquor. Every day from 5 pm to 6 pm, 1760 offers three original spirit-forward cocktails not available on the dinner menu for $7 each. Options are Gin with Strega, Dry Vermouth, Cocchi Americano, and Lemon Bitters; Tequila with Kina L'avion, New York Apple Liqueur, and Orange Bitters; and Bourbon with Gran Classico, Cynar, and Coffee Bitters. Stirred, spirit-based drinks are also available for $6 each, including the Negroni, Manhattan, Martini or Boulevardier. You'll also find one light and one amber beer on the menu for $3 a pint, as well as a red, white, and sparkling wine for $7 a glass. Beer Fest at SPUR Gallery

Online beer forum RateBeer.com is teaming up with SPUR Gallery to showcase some of the world's top rated brews and brewers this Saturday, from 2 pm to 6 pm. A $50 ticket gets you into the elegant gallery space for the RateBeer Gallery III Beer Fest, where you'll find three floors of beer, beer experts, and cheese. Featured speakers include Phil MacNitt from Modern Times Beer, Jesse Friedman from Almanac Beer Co., Tim Sciascia from Cellarmaker Brewing Co., and Tim Clifford from Sante Adairius. In addition to the ever-popular Pliny the Elder, you can taste more than 20 specialty beers, including Stone Stochasticity Project Grapefruit Slam IPA, Alesmith Vietnamese Speedway Stout, and Almanac Farmer's Reserve Pluot. ENO Wine Bar Turns One

This week is ENO Wine Bar's first anniversary, and they're celebrating with $1 prosecco on Thursday and a special ENOversity wine class on Sunday. Google Glass Wearers Get a Free Drink at Stanford Court

In some San Francisco bars, wearing Google Glass will get you kicked out, or at least a look of scorn. Not so at Stanford Court's Aurea Lounge, where Google Glass wearers get a complimentary cocktail. Stanford Court's new, independent management wants to encourage guests to "experience the authentic San Francisco, which includes embracing the latest gadgets to hit the digital marketplace." Hopscotch Cocktail Pairing Dinner Series

Starting this week, Hopscotch is hosting a seasonal cocktail paired dinner series, highlighting the best ingredients of the season carefully woven into original cocktails and paired fare by Bar Manager & Co-Owner Jenny Schwartz and Executive Chef Kyle Itani. This Thursday, guests can enjoy a five-course, spring-inspired menu incorporating Imbue Petal and Thorn, a small-production, artisanal vermouth from Oregon, and Hakashu, a Japanese single malt whiskey. The evening's main event will feature one of chef Itani's specialties: porchetta made from a whole hog obtained from Devil's Gulch Ranch in Marin.
