Mochica Hosts Piscofest on Peruvian Independence Day
You'll want to pace yourself on Friday so you can also celebrate Peruvian Independence at Mochica Peruvian Kitchen & Bar, which is hosting Piscofest, a five-day stretch of pisco-inspired experiences and specials. The Sea Star's Got a New Captain
A trio of local bar stars has taken over operations of The Sea Starin the Dogpatch. Alicia Walton (Bloodhound, Brass Tacks, Comstock, and Elixir Saloons), Ryan Gilbert (Bloodhound and House of Shields Saloon) and Tommy Shaw (Martuni's) are now at the helm, steering the bar toward a casual neighborhood vibe with some light remodeling and community-centric events. The Sea Star is open every day from 4pm to 2am, featuring 12 taps with rotating craft beers and ciders alongside a curated boilermaker menu and a playful cocktail program.
