As an innovative restaurant, Carpe Diem modifies their menu on the last Friday of every month. Executive Chef Scott Kendall and Sous Chef Isaac Coles work together to create original dishes that guests would not anticipate. Their most recent plates include the Piggily Wiggily Flatbread with brussel sprouts and bacon, the Osso Bucco with spinach and smoked gouda polenta, and the creamy, baked Quack ‘n Cheese. The chefs also keep things fresh weekly with the Soup of the Moment and Chef’s Selection of Tacos. They even invite guests to put their own twist to our food, such as doing it “Carpe Style” by adding an organic poached duck egg and crispy pancetta to any plate. Creating and exploring is part of the culinary adventure at Carpe Diem.
What would a delicious meal be without a glass of wine to complement it? Carpe Diem's bar managers, Mitchell Sher and Nick Hammond, are constantly searching for a variety of new wine and beer that will delight all visitors. Throughout the week, Mitchell and Nick have tasting appointments, and in their spare time, visit the breweries and wineries to learn about each item. Currently, they are offering six beers on draft including 90 Minute Dogfish Head IPA, and the Russian River collaboration with Sierra Nevada, Brux, and Monkey Fist IPA by the bottle. Some of their unique wines include Le Pich and Purlieu, Buoncristiani and Ghost Horse 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Carpe Diem's extensive wine list with over forty wines by the glass entices guests to sample something new and discover the perfect pairing with their meal.
To encompass Carpe Diem’s passion for wine, food and extraordinary hospitality, the restaurant holds special dinner/wine pairing events once a month. During these events, guests are treated to a five-course menu designed with a specific winery's inventory in mind. In the past, they teamed up with Melka Wines from Saint Helena and also 21st Amendment Brewery from San Francisco.
