Here's what the 7x7 editors were thinking about this week when they should have been at work.
Wine Parker Satchel, Gigi New York
The perfect color for fall, and the initials add a sweet touch.

Mirrored South Park unit
I cannot stop looking into this mirrored residential unit in San Francisco's South Park. So bold. Too bold, one could argue. But why not? After all, South Park is turning into a hotbed of daring residential design. A few doors down, one can find this unusual Victorian redo, complete with swings for dining room chairs.

For me, sexy on a man manifests in the following ways: Driving in reverse with confidence. Soft-spokeness. Broad shoulders. And mirrored aviators and a sharp suit á la the Sundance kid, pictured here on the cover of Lauren Goldstein Crowe’s 2012 book about celebrities and their sunglasses, cheekily titled, 50 Shades. (A smoldering photo of a young Richard Gere circa American Gigolo donning oversize rims is worth a daydream or two.) Thanks, One Kings Lane for bringing this statement on style and sway to my attention.

As sweater weather approaches (hooray!), I’m going into cozy mode. I scored a sample of this cashmere/silk blend beauty with an M.C. Escher-esque print in perfect pink-grey at a recent sample sale, and ended up getting the robe to match. You could say I'm feeling handsy.

Next week, 9/18, Pace Gallery in Menlo Park will present 12 seminal post-war artists, including minimalist master Hiroshi Sugimoto, brut art pioneer Jean Dubuffet, and industrial sculptor Louise Nevelson. It's an art history refresher course for tech millionaires, and a treat for art buffs to get close and personal with notable works.

Ok, it isn't exactly news. Sausalito-based designer consignment e-tailer the Real Real launched back in 2011, and has since raised over $40 million. And it's been touted again and again as a big deal. Being a highly tactile fashion lover, I prefer to shop brick-and-mortar stores. I like to touch things. But, when stuck on a long layover in the Minneapolis airport, what else is there to do but shop for shoes online? I now have the Real Real to thank for the 75%-off-retail Hermes knee-high boots I'm wearing at the office today. Conversion complete.
