Get out your mountain bike, dust off your helmet and head north to mountain biking mecca Marin. We took some time to get to know the newly built Tamarancho Flow trail. What's a flow trail, you ask? It's a trail designed so bikers will "flow" downhill with ups and downs that counteract each other and minimalize the use of your brakes.
The trail was built in seven months with a whopping 3,000 hours of volunteer work and the organizational prowess of Davey Simon and technical design of Jim Jacobsen. Above all, don't be intimidated; the flow trail is for all levels. And if nothing else, it's worth the gorgeous ride into the woods.

And if want to lend a hand and volunteer for the ongoing trail maintenance contact Davey Simon at dsimon@xojet.com or 916-337-9939.
Very special thanks to Jim Jacobsen and Clif Bar, Mikes Bikes, Mountain Hardware, Gamut USA and The Hive. The East Bay Bicycle Trails Council. The Whole Athlete Team and the Bear Development Team.
