Stingray Tents, a Bay Area-based company, has just blown our outdoorsy minds with their newest product, a floating tree house tent.
“The Stingray” is what they’re calling the suspended hammock-like contraption and it’s perfect for beating any weather or topographical disadvantages. This innovation is meant to be secured above ground and in between trees allowing campers to sleep well in wet, rocky, or bug infested conditions.
Being three-times the size of a hammock, this tent can comfortably carry three adults (rawr!) and with a maximum capacity of 800 pounds, it can easily hold a whole bunch of gear. And for all you traditionalists, the tent can also be fixed into the ground.
The Stingray tent recently took to the Marin Headlands and was tested out against the perfect backdrop, the Golden Gate Bridge. Check out this beauty in action and book a similar experience here.
