Do people even have icons anymore? Style is about being exposed to your environment and culture, and developing who you are stylistically as a result of it.

I love black because it’s the perfect staple. I don’t do well with prints or tribal.
Advice to the SF fashion-forward:
The weather presents an opportunity for fashion. Invest in a jacket, trench, or blazer. It’s also a good city for leather.

On SF style:
San Franciscans are in a bit of a weather and terrain-driven fashion conundrum. It’s about being effortless, comfortable, and outdoorsy for a very cool SF look.

There’s a lot less judgment here than in New York. I feel completely free to experiment. And I shop a lot more vintage than I ever did there."

On jewelry: Be bold. Accessorize with vibrant statement pieces such as colorful bracelets and large earrings. Vintage pieces—such as 60s deco jewelry—are timeless.
