The whole neighborhood probably let out a collective cheer when news spread that Sharon Ardiana, proprietress of the popular Glen Park pizzeria, Gialina, would be opening her second restaurant in the Metro Hotel, at Page and Divisadero.

Though other neighborhoods have had their comeuppance, this part of town has still lagged behind others. But with the opening of Ragazza, the 'hood finally has a watering hole. In almost every way save for address (an address which, fortuitously, includes a massive back patio they are readying—quickly, we hope, given this weather—for opening), Ragazza is just like Gialina—big salads, antipasti, a daily roast or two and then a selection of pizzas. It's an easy menu to like, and that the formula has become more popular in recent years doesn't mean that you wouldn't like to have a place like this serving this type of food in your own neighborhood.

Best of all, you can pop in for a meal and leave without lightening your wallet too much—nothing on the menu costs more than $21 (and most costs much  less). Play your cards right, and you could enjoy a margherita pizza and a glass of wine for scarcely more than twenty bones.
