1. 7x7's Nightlife Guide Launch at The Brixton: Come join the 7x7 crew to celebrate the launch of our new Nightlife Guide at the Brixton (left). 2. Rouge et Blanc Adds Whiskey: Tucked just below the Chinatown gates, the wine bar Rouge et Blanc has long been an after-work favorite for sipping a glass of vino. Now they've upped the ante by adding a full whiskey selection, with over 60 bourbons and scotches, including some rare gems. 3. Luella's Anniversary Wine Deal: Russian Hill's Luella is turning seven years old this month, and neighborhood folks won't want to miss the opportunity to drop in during the week and toast them with $4 wines by the glass and $20 bottles. The deal is good for the entire month of March, and selections include Bisol Jeio prosecco, Alois Lageder Dolomiti pinot grigio, Finca La Anita Tonada malbec, and Chateau Lalande de Tayac bordeaux. 4. North Beach Whiskey Cocktail Competition: North Beach will provide the inspiration for this competition, in which bartenders from four neighborhood spots (15 Romolo, Txoko, Bottle Cap, and Campanula) will compete to see who can best express the local spirit through spirits (in this case, Michael Collins Irish whiskey). The $5 admission gets you all four drinks, as well as the chance to cast a vote for your favorite. Tickets are limited to 100 people, so be sure to sign up fast. 5. Swell Attitude's Stylish Happy Hour: The tailors and fashion consultants at Swell Attitude are throwing a happy hour celebrating a look that never seems to go out of style: the skinny tie. Whether your interpretation is "Mad Men" or 80's new wave, throw on your best skinny and head to SoFa for complimentary appetizers and cocktails like the Nat King Cole (gin, cilantro, jalapeno, lime juice, rosemary).
