"These boarded up stores are depressing," writes artist Fnnch on his Instagram. "I long to sit down in a restaurant again, get my hair cut again, go to the art supply store again. But until that happens, we might as well use the boards as canvas for art. Instead of bringing our spirits down, they should lift our spirits up."
Fnnch has painted 13 Mask Bears, which he hopes will make you smile. Plus, Oakland is clearing cars from 74 miles of road to make space for pedestrians, the Outside Lands lineup has been leaked, and more local news that isn't horrifying.
