Hopscotch's Kyle Itani and Jenny Schwarz have put together a six-week Christmas menu (with different weekly offerings) that you're going to want to come in and and taste at least once... or twice. With only four weeks left, you can look forward to goose leg confit and smoked goose breast (December 18-21) andwhole roasted Dungeness crab (December 24-28), among other tasty offerings.Toss back one of their inventive cocktails like the Wagonwheel with bourbon, maple syrup, hot coffee, and scotch cream. 12 Nights of Chocolate
Dandelion Chocolate's 2nd annual 12 Nights of Chocolate—a dessert series benefiting the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank—began on Monday. Last year, the local chocolatiers raised over 10,000 meals for the hungry with an all-star line up of chefs, mixologists, brew masters, whiskey makers, sommeliers, and cheese makers creating delicious evenings using their chocolate. Off the Grid Holiday Food Drive
In partnership with the SF-Marin Food Bank as well as the Alameda County Community Food Bank, Off the Grid markets will host a special donation area at their events, which includes the option to bring non-perishable food goods or make a direct donations using mobile payments. Foreign Cinema Hosts Gregory Castells of Martine’s Wines
Foreign Cinema will host Gregory Castells, former Wine Director at the French Laundry, to showcase Martine’s Wines on Thursday, December 4. Throughout the evening, Mr. Castells—whose numerous awards include Best Sommelier in UK, 2001 and the coveted Grand Award from Wine Spectator—will chat with guests and providing tasting notes and pairing suggestions.
