PASTRY CHEFS LOVE COFFEE
Starting January 6, Coffee Bar will be ringing in the New Year with a pastry chef collaboration at all three San Francisco branches. The event, which goes through February 6, pairs the palettes of two of SF’s top pastry chefs—Jessica Sullivan with the Delfina Restaurant Group and Perbacco’s own Laura Cronin— with delicious coffee drinks. The two chefs were challenged to created new and innovative techniques that could be emulated by the Coffee Bar staff. FLAVORS OF WINTER WITH MELISSA KING
Top Chef contestant Melissa King presents the Flavors of Winter: A five-course dinner inspired and prepared alongside fellow contestant Mei Lin. The two chefs, who recently overcame the Restaurant Wars challenge on Top Chef, are now collaborating their talents for a fine-dining experience for a few dozen SF foodies. The night of adventurous cuisine will take place on January 12 at Chef Nicolas Delaroque’s restaurant, Nico in San Francisco.Tickets are $165/per person. 3228 Sacramento Street
SAN FRANCISCO RESTAURANT WEEK
San Francisco Restaurant Week returns with over 90 of the Bay Area’s most exclusive restaurants. The coveted event series begins January 21 and goes till January 30 as the Golden Gate Restaurant Association focuses on elevating San Francisco’s position as a top culinary destination. The packages begin at $25 dollar/2-course lunch, $40/3-course dinner, and a new addition of $85/ “Discovery” Menu, which includes both food and beverage. The GGRA will be donating $0.25 from each cover sold through OpenTable bookings to the SF-Marin Food Bank.
BAY AREA BREW FESTIVAL
Bay Area Brew Festival returns for their 4th annual shindig as dozens of breweries, hundreds of beer and food trucks, a DJ, and photobooth set up at the Fort Mason Center on January 24. The day-long event will include a bevy of unlimited international and domestic beer vendors with admission price. Tickets are $40 for General and $50 for VIP.
