Vin au Naturel

Ordinaire, the wine shop and bar located on Oakland's Grand Avenue, is celebrating the natural wines of California, France, Italy, and Spain at this week's Brumaire Natural Wine Fest. A series of small events takes place throughout the week—including a $10 no-reservations tasting tonight at Russian Hill's Biondivino and a lunch at Oakland's Kronnerburger on Friday (reserve at tess@etewines.com)—and culimates in the main event. On March 13th, head to the Marina for a grand tasting of regional and European winemakers as well as lunch—they'll be roasting a whole pig. Gourmet Family Meal

What happens when cooks Jonathan Wu of Rich Table and Chris Wolff of Bar Tartine come together? They call themselves the Journeymen and throw a pop-up dinner. If it sounds like heaven, wait, it gets better: The two chefs, who hail from two of SF's very best restaurants, are making their luxe take on Staff Meal—think Frito pie churros, grilled brassicas in tasty vinaigrette, and lasagna hamurguesa—"like a McDonald's cheeseburger met your favorite food of all time and melted your face off." // $59; Mon. Let's Do Lunch

Oro, the latest project from Commonwealth chef Jason Fox, has suffered some mixed reviews. But if you didn't love it for dinner, you can now give lunch a go. Daytime service launched at the Mint Plaza restaurant this week, bringing with it solid sandwiches (including a crispy pork belly open-faced with egg salad; and smoked brisket with cauliflower slaw on a pretzel roll) and entrees that can be eaten in or taken to go. // Oro, 8 Mint Plaza (SoMa), orosf.com

Cable Car Bites

Should you find yourself playing tour guide with your parents at the Powell St. cable car turnaround, you can refuel at the just-opened Turn Café, in the new Axiom Hotel.
