International Smoke Opens
International Smoke, the delicious collaboration between Ayesha Curry and Michael Mina, opens today in the old RN74 space. The restaurant explores a global approach to cooking with fire, smoke, and the grill; and as such, features dishes like Argentine ribeye, Binchotan grilled lobster, Armenian lamb steak with rice pilaf and feta, and more. Munchies Cookbook Party
The folks from Munchies (Vice's foodarm that produces Fuck That's Delicious, The Pizza Show, Chef's Night Out and more) released a new cookbook dubbed MUNCHIES: Late-Night Meals from the World's Best Chefs and is throwing a rad party at Mister Jiu's tonight to celebrate. The Bay Area's best will gather in Brandon Jew's kitchen and cook up recipes from the book, including from Daniel Patterson (Alta Group), Gabriela Camara (Cala), Stuart Brioza and Nicole Krasinski (State Bird Provisions), and Maya Erickson (formerly of Lazy Bear). A16 Celebrates Italian Cuisine Week with Collab Dinner
A16 is celebrating Italian Cuisine Week with a collaborative dinner with Michelin-starred Chef Accursio Caparo from Modica, Sicily this Thursday. The Dogpatch's modern Hawaiian restaurant is launching a special new tasting menu at their chef's counter. The "mo'olelo" tasting menu will feature six courses for $60 with optional beverage pairings for $20.
