Not content to rest on its laurels after the epic Street Food Festival, La Cocina will now host "Holy Mole," a culinary workshop featuring two La Cocina entrepreneurs, Isabel Caudillo of El Buen Comer and Verónica Salazar of El Huarache Loco. Mole, a traditional sauce with an average of 26 ingredients and uncertain origins, ain't easy to make on your own, so look to these two experts to guide you. During the class, attendees will also enjoy Mexican appetizers, beer, wine, and other beverages. Starts at 6:30 pm, ends at 9 pm. La Cocina, 2948 Folsom Street.
Thursday, September 19
Hail the opening of the new FOG CITY (at 1300 Battery Street), where you can enjoy live music from Project:Pimento, tastes of Chef Bruce Hill's delicious menu, and complimentary signature cocktails. Tickets are $125 a person and can be purchased by clicking here. But it gets better: You'll be partying to benefit the Raphael House, a shelter for homeless families and children. Starts at 6 pm, ends at 10 pm.
