Just when we thought the Ferry Building couldn't get any more delicious, Joe Wolf and Amy Brown (former pastry chef of NOPA), opened up a Marla Bakery outpost in the marketplace's new outdoor arcade stalls. They’ll be serving breakfast and lunch with a daily menu that will include popular items such as bagels, English muffins, house-made yogurt, and kouign amann. Wrecking Ball coffee will be served. // Open Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm and Saturday-Sunday: 9am-5pm; 1 Ferry Bldg, San Francisco, marlabakery.com
Volta Softly Opens in Westfield Mall
The Perbacco team has opened Volta, a French-Scandinavian restaurant, in the Westfield. The food draws on Swedish-born chef Steffan Terje’s roots and will include dishes such as pickled herring, gravlax, beef bourguignon, and Swedish meatballs. There will also be a cocktail menu to help you thoroughly enjoy your time. // 868 Mission St, San Francisco, voltasf.com
Le Marais Pops-Up in Ghiradelli Square
Le Marais is doing a temporary pop-up in Ghirardelli Square. You’ll find delicious French and Viennese pastries such as croissants, pain au chocolats, and danishes. Stumptown coffee will be served. The pop-up will remain open until Le Marais opens their permanent restaurant in Ghirardelli Square later in 2016. // Open Monday-Thursday: 8am-8pm and Friday-Sunday: 8am-10pm, 900 N Point St, San Francisco, lemaraisbakery.com
