Marla Bakery Opens in Ferry Building

Just when we thought the Ferry Building couldn't get any more delicious, Joe Wolf and Amy Brown (former pastry chef of NOPA), opened up a Marla Bakery outpost in the marketplace's new outdoor arcade stalls. They’ll be serving breakfast and lunch with a daily menu that will include popular items such as bagels, English muffins, house-made yogurt, and kouign amann. Volta Softly Opens in Westfield Mall

The Perbacco team has opened Volta, a French-Scandinavian restaurant, in the Westfield. The food draws on Swedish-born chef Steffan Terje’s roots and will include dishes such as pickled herring, gravlax, beef bourguignon, and Swedish meatballs. Le Marais Pops-Up in Ghiradelli Square

Le Marais is doing a temporary pop-up in Ghirardelli Square. You’ll find delicious French and Viennese pastries such as croissants, pain au chocolats, and danishes. Stumptown coffee will be served. Last Call for Tea Time at Sir Francis Drake Hotel

Crown & Crumpet, San Francisco’s premier Tea Salon has partnered  up with The Sir Francis Drake Hotel this month to serve an English Tea Time pop-up dubbed Tea Under The Tree. Holiday Tea will be prepared by Crown & Crumpet’s pastry Chef Amanda Elkins and will  include a selection of tea sandwiches, warm savouries, scones, crumpets and tasty sweets and treats to pair with a variety of teas.
