We’ve finally made it to November, through all the Halloween, Election and World Series mayhem. The rest of the month may not be as packed, but I guarantee the music will be something to write home about, so keep your sneakers laced up tight and your ear to the floor.

Monarch throws a fun and irresponsible Sunday night party that tempts anyone still looking for something to do at the very tail end of the weekend– so count them responsible for your rough Monday morning commute. It's called Reload, and it's become an intimate monthly gathering. This time around, on November 11, it features Canadian DJ Eddie C, who’s headed into town with a soulful selection of disco edits and slow house tunes. If you caught him at Sunset Treasure Island this summer then you know to expect only the funkiest jams. San Francisco regulars Galen and Solar will host this one. Don’t worry, your boss won’t suspect a thing. November 11,9 pm-2 am, tickets $6-11.

It’s hard to imagine early-2000s New York without DFA Records and its eclectic cofounder James Murphy who turned out rowdy dance floor hits with his band LCD Soundsystem. The rawness of his records recreate an image of the long sweaty nights we've all spent going animal to this man. Since the disbanding of LCD Soundsystem, Murphy has continued touring the world, playing the disco cuts and rarities he initially gained a following for back in the day. His return to Public Worksis going to be loud. Expect a sold out, packed night of incessant deep kick drum and punchy bass lines on November 16, 9:30 pm-3:30 am. Tickets are $20-$25.

The Habitat is a rad monthly party hosted by SF duo Bells & Whistles that's brought the likes of Ton of Arc and Dave Aju behind the decks at 222 Hyde. If you missed them play Pink Mammoth this year at Burning Man, you should really make it out to this shindig. Jdubya and Gravity from the Pink Mammoth sound camp will throw down some deep house at this upcoming get together.  Of course, Bells & Whistles will kick the party off in their own way, blending their chunky, slow, deep house that often leans into ambient vibrations. November 20, 10 pm-2 am, $5.

A new party series is launching called ‘As You Like It at 222 Hyde.’  These sessions, held in the cozy brick dugout on Polk & Hyde, will continue to bring extraordinary DJs through the door. This month features a live set by Tin Man, who continues to develop what you could call neo-Acid House. Chopping up drum loops and his own vocals, his live sets pay homage to the house music vibes leftover from the early 90s, while shaping his own story as a DJ. This is his SF debut, alongside some of our hometown homies, Mozaic and Brian Bejarano. Space will be tight and tickets will be limited for this happening on November 30, 9 pm-2 am, $20
