Free Sneak Preview of 'The Wayshower' at the Castro Theatre on Wednesday Night
06 December 2011
"Running from mistakes in his past, a man finds a secret book with ancient powers – a tool that can give him the answers he seeks. But a dark force has been awoken, one that will stop at nothing to reclaim the sacred text. When the book is stolen, an age-old battle resumes. But [the man's] teacher, a 'Wayshower,' can only show him the path to victory, for he must win this epic battle on his own."
So describes John-Roger and Jsu Garcia's The Wayshower, a spiritual thriller slated for wide release in March 2012 that will make its Bay Area debut on Wednesday night at the Castro Theatre. John-Roger, the New York Times bestselling author of more than 50 books including last year's Living the Spiritual Principles of Health and Well-Being, and Garcia, who starred in the original A Nightmare on Elm Street, will co-host the 7:30 p.m. sneak preview and answer audience questions afterward.
Also in attendance: onetime Oscar nominee Sally Kirkland and Emmy winner Leigh Taylor-Young, who, among others scheduled to appear Wednesday at the Castro, star opposite Peter Stormare and Eric Roberts in this story of a near-mythic quest for enlightenment.
