Detroit and San Francisco come together in literary fashion tonight, as Michigan native, SF resident and author Robin Sloan talks with TechCrunch columnist Kim-Mai Cutler at Shinola's Jackson Square boutique. Sloan will discuss his best-selling book Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore and all things tech, culture and politics. In other France-takes-SF-by storm news…meet Les Lunes. The comfortable, chic and eco-friendly women's collections are designed in Paris and ethically made in Shanghai. The SF store is the first brick-and-mortar for the previously online-only label. The feminine skirts, tops, dresses and activewear are made of super-soft fabric sourced from bamboo.
