Remember back in early March when John Stamos, aka Uncle Jesse of "Full House," was spotted hanging around the old Tanner residence on Broderick Street? Turns out, the visit may in fact have been R&D: Stamos broke the news on Jimmy Kimmel last night that "Fuller House" is headed to Netflix in 2016.
The new series will follow the (less exciting) older sister, D.J. Tanner-Fuller (it's a pun!), played by Candace Cameron-Bure, now "a pregnant veterinarian who is recently widowed and living in San Francisco," according to E! Online. Jodie Sweetin, who plays sister Stephanie Tanner, and Andrea Barber, as D.J.'s BFF-neighbor Kimmy Gibbler, also star. And Stamos, of course, will costar and produce.
The real question on our minds is whether Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will step down from on fashionable high to make an appearance in the family comedy reboot. Netflix is apparently in talks with everyone's favorite twins, as well as with Bob Saget and Lori Loughlin. And while we have serious doubts that these youngest Tanners, now global arbiters of taste, will make a cameo (why would they, when they can do this?), we can dream can't we?
Stamos told Kimmel, "If we can't get the Olsen twins, we're gonna dress you up." Please, no.
So, we're dying to know: Will you watch "Fuller House?" Join the conversation on Facebook.
