Whether you like a dark and stormy tabletop or something more traditional, Atahu Ceramics' cloud holders will lighten the mood year-round.
New Zealand born, SF-based ceramicist Sherin Langford-Lee keeps her head in the clouds, professionally speaking that is. Best known for her hand-sculpted busts of fairy tale gnomes with rather human expressions and decorated pointy hats, Langford-Lee took inspiration from a favorite gnome, the gilded "Cloudy Head," for this limited collection of three cloud candleholders ($65 each).

Designed to hold everything from delicate baubles to dinner, Hsieh's collection for 7x7 includes one three-inch floral-shaped catchall ($65); a four-inch round dish ($60); a seven-inch catchall ($85); and large bowl ($315). Like magical river rocks, Jason Stropko's small sculptures are the playthings of light.
Jason Stropko's small scale studies are guided by his fascination for natural world phenomena and various glass making processes. For his Solid cut, soft pieces #1-#12 , the glass begins its journey in a viscous honey-like consistency at 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. A blowpipe gathers the molten glass and the sculpting process begins, guided by intuition and aided by glassmaking tools and gravity. After cooling, each facet is deliberately and patiently ground, smoothed and polished, in a process requiring five steps for each facet...and time. Their final expression morphs when deprived of light or placed in its path.

Daria Davydova's glaze and pigment vases are watertight and full of personality.
Daria Davydova’s faces are each distinct in their details and distinctly hers, their aquiline noses a signature of her craft. In 2022, she left her native Ukraine to work in San Francisco and her enigmatic vases—here with glaze and pigment, and all watertight—have been charming us ever since. Three small vases ($150 each) pictured here are available at 7x7 Social Club. Please inquire for larger vases.

Splitting her time between SF and Sebastopol, Jaime Lovejoy is one of the city's most recognizable painters to watch.
A former marketing exec, Jaime Lovejoy dove into her painting full time just a few years ago and never looked back: Her large-format abstract paintings have become highly coveted among those who instantly recognize her fluid, moody strokes. Her art becomes more accessible this holiday thanks to this limited edition of five prints ($200) for 7x7. Based on the original painting Something Lived , each 24-by-18-inch print is presented on archival matte paper and is numbered, and signed.

Dripping roses, feathers, and classic roadkill prints adorn When Simon Met Ralph's latest collection.
Textile bandits Simon Ungless and Jody Niederkohr are generally up to no good. Peek into their Marinship studio and you'll certainly catch them running over designer clothing with inky tire tracks or cutting up vintage garments for frankencouture—and we can't get enough. Their label, When Simon Met Ralph, applies the printmaking techniques that made Ungless a fashion world icon when he worked for Alexander McQueen to pre-loved and deadstock pieces for one-of-a-kind, sustainable fashion statements . This dripping rose print vintage jacket ($400) is among the brand's new collection, which also revives an archival motif from McQueen's Spring 1995 collection The Birds .

Oversized and corduroy are in, and Emily Meyer's unisex blazer for 7x7 is right on point.
If we had a dollar for every lawyer we know who bailed for creative climes, well, we'd have at least 10 dollars. As the odd woman out at a law firm where her male colleagues made excellent arguments for the bespoke suit, SF native Emily Meyer set out to tailor sharp suiting to the female form. She nailed it, case closed. Meyer typically fits clients during private appointments in SF and L.A., but she whipped up something ready to wear for us: The Forty-Nine blazer ($775) has a perfectly oversized fit and the cool flexibility of Italian cotton corduroy, equally at ease on an international flight or as a rugged layer in the Headlands. The Forty-Nine has a hint of natural stretch, a barchetta handkerchief pocket and flap patch pockets, leather buttons, and is lined in Bemberg cupro. Sizes small to XL available; only 11 made.

You can actually feel the springiness in Susan McKinney's handmade ceramic coil.
File under: How the heck did she make that? The secrets of Sausalito ceramic artist Susan McKinney are hers to tell, but trust us when we say the process behind this handmade ceramic spring ($800) is pure genius. (Large spring is approximately 13 x 4 inches. Small spring in buff clay ($400) also available.)

Clockwise from top left: Keira Kotler's Radiance pigment prints on aluminum, Untitled #2, #4, #9, and #7.
Marin-based Keira Kotler is a true multi-hyphenate: An artist, writer, dancer, cancer survivor, and fashion entrepreneur, Kotler is a presence that defies easy categorization and embodies light. That aura is captured in her photoworks, which transport us right to our happy place. Special to 7x7 for the holidays are four single pigment prints on aluminum ($2,500 each, 15x20 inches). Yes, they're splurge-y gifts, but wouldn't we all like a trip to someplace else?

This season, one of Jaenicke's signature outerwear pieces gets a 7x7 update: The Bamford short double-face cashmere jacket ($2,695, one size) has a 7x7-inch pocket and comes in six rich autumnal shades.

The Speakeasy vibes, comfort food, and jazz performances aren’t the only thing to spark joy at SF’s Old Skool Cafe. Everything in the 1920’s-style supper club is organized, made, and served by at-risk, formerly incarcerated and foster care youth through the nonprofit’s restaurant and life skills courses, apprenticeships, and externships. That means that anytime you treat a loved one to drinks or a meal there, the proceeds are going right back into the cafe’s training programs. Want something to wrap in a bow and place under the tree? Give the gift of a one-month ($75-125) or three-month ($375) Old Skool Cafe membership , which supplies them with $90 to $125 in supper club credits every 30 days (plus bonuses and a complimentary cocktail at each visit). // Visit at 1429 Mendell St. (Bayview-Hunters Point) or shop online at old-skool-cafe.thethirdplace.is ,
