ICHI Sushi Relocates to Bernal Heights
ICHI Sushi has relocated and reopened in its original location just a few blocks down Mission Street. After an emergency health issue for chef-owner Tim Archuleta, he and his wife/business partner decided to move the restaurant back to its original location, which has served as a pop-up space and short-lived oyster bar over the past year. The 21-seat location will continue to offer delicious, sustainably sourced sushi along with an omakase menu. The Riddler Opens in Hayes Valley
The Riddler, a highly anticipated, all women-funded Champagne bar, finally opened its doors in Hayes Valley on Sunday. The restaurant offers a large list of over 100 Champagne selections with a focus on vintage wines and specific grower-producers and founder Jen Pelka enlisted the help of other female badasses in the food industry to create a menu of small bites that pair well with wine. Trick Dog's New Menu
Trick Dog is celebrating its 4th anniversary with a newly released cocktail menu (their ninth!). The Mission bar brought together 14 local artists to paint 14 different murals around San Francisco and then turned all of the murals into a book called The Trick Dog Mural Project. Flores Starts Serving Brunch
Cow Hollow's recently opened Flores is starting brunch service this weekend! The Mexican restaurant will be offering a spin on traditional desayuno, adding contemporary cocktails and choice ingredients to the mix. Highlights include a pancake de elote (a corn pancake with maple crema and powdered sugar), huevos poblanos with chicken mole, and carne asada with rice, beans, eggs, and house-made tortillas. Former Saison Chef Starts a Pop-up Dinner Series
Rodney Wages, former Chef de Cuisine at Michelin-starred Saison, Morimoto and Atelier Crenn, is doing a series of pop-up dinners in Dabba restaurant over the next few months. Wages plans to open a brick-and-mortar this year, and the pop-up is his chance to hone the concept. The 8-course tasting menu features grilled abalone with potato dumpling and wild nettles and a smoked foie gras tortellini en brodo.
