Mark your calendar—City Arts & Lectures is hosting an intimate evening with foodie author and activist Michael Pollan to raise funds for their big Nourse Auditorium restoration project. Newsflash: Herbst Theatre will close for refurbishing next May, and City Arts will be out of a meeting place. So if you've ever come out to hear the likes of Annie Leibovitz or Jacques Pépin, reach deep into your pocket for $500 to support the cause.
Michael Pollan will sit down with renowned food writer Patricia Unterman for a conversation likely consumed by all things edible. Following the chat, you'll take your seat at Hayes Street Grill for a private dinner with the evening's esteemed guests. The menu will be a tribute to Pollan, complemented with signature HSG fare like grilled fish and seasonal vegetables. Kermit Lynch, wine importer and past City Arts guest, will provide the vino, and St. George Spirits will mix up a cocktail that also pays tribute to Pollan.
